On Sunday, October 30, 2022, during an Indianapolis Colts game at Lucas Oil Stadium against the Washington Commanders, former quarterback Peyton Manning claps during Tarik Glenn’s Ring of Honor induction ceremony.Peyton Manning has a fascinating goal in mind.
During his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Thursday, Manning discussed flag football with the presenter, including the coaching he has provided for his child’s squad. Then, Manning offered his services as coach of the American Olympic flag football squad at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.”You hear about athletes in the NFL sort of running for that team. The thought of Tyreek Hill and Lamar Jackson is unsettling. however, I’d prefer to coach that squad,” Manning remarked. After leading his flag football team to consecutive losses over his brother Eli’s teams in the Pro Bowl, Peyton joked that he wouldn’t get the job.
Following the rejection of American football, the NFL lobbied for flag football to be included in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The successful campaign for flag football led to the addition of a men’s and women’s competition to the schedule for 2028.

Two teams will play 5-on-5 on a 50-yard field without linemen during the games. It will be a race against time and space, and as Manning noted, it will be difficult to defeat players like Tyreek Hill and Lamar Jackson. Manning might serve as the offensive coordinator.
