IOWA CITY, Iowa – Long-time University of Iowa men’s basketball staff member Al Seibert has added the role of General Manager to his Chief of Staff duties with the program.

Seibert’s position as the program’s liaison between Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and athletics administration has grown. In addition to overseeing the NIL recruitment process, he will be in charge of student-athlete contracts and NIL-related documents.

Seibert will also act as the program’s point of contact with senior staff members in the Athletics Department.
Seibert was the head coach of the University of New Haven from 2005 until he joined the Hawkeyes. In addition, he had coaching positions at Pittsburgh, Western Kentucky, Duquesne, and the University of Hartford.
